Mission
American Mortals wants the client to feel, above all else, comfortable. Comfortable being themselves. Comfortable in the knowledge that they won't be judged. Comfortable finding the stylist who's right for them. American Mortals strives to provide high quality grooming services across the board. Every stylist has a different approach to hair and we want to place the client with the right stylist for them. Of course, this goal may not be met on the first visit but if the client feels comfortable, he or she will return and eventually discover their perfect stylistic match… Some philosophical AMMO babble:
Space
Part of the American Mortals experience is the physical space the shop occupies. We look at it like it's social sculpture designed to reflect our collective being. Stylists and clients are brought together in the environment and it should feel easy and free so that you can relax and we can work in comfort. Common conversation is encouraged at American Mortals and the open, bright, and whimsical interior helps bring it about. Change is a constant theme. You may be changing your look and we may have changed the decor since your last visit. Change is a fact of life and American Mortals embraces that.
The space is constructed of simple materials like chip board and vinyl. Simplicity is something we value highly. American Mortals hopes to help you discover the simple beauty of your own hair be it thick or thin, wavy or straight, blond or black. Whatever you want your hair to say about you it should say it simply.
